On Thursday 14th May, the GV Multimedia team returned to Bristol Zoo Gardens for The Really Wild AV Show. Having held an event at the zoo’s Pavilion back in 2007 with great success, the team were only too eager to use this fantastic venue again.

Organised by Exeter Sales Manager Steve Grimes, the event saw a host of suppliers presenting their latest and greatest AV equipment to an audience of GV Multimedia's customers.

On the 29th & 30th April, GV Multimedia exhibited at the Museums & Heritage Show.

Our main objective was to create a presence within the industry as GV are supplying to more and more museums with their AV requirements.

We teamed up with Panasonic, 3M, Extron and Midwich’s True Colours division to showcase the latest touchscreen technology with eye-catching software targeted at the museums industry.

For the event, we also designed a bespoke stand for maximum effect. With 3M's flagship 55” interactive touch-table, Panasonic’s 80” interactive touch screen, laser projection and finally Panasonic’s 55” Totem video wall, it was felt by the team that we had the most impressive stand at the exhibition.

Over the two days, we spoke to a number of high profile people within the buying sectors of the industry. As a result, we found the event to be highly useful and we look forward to returning in the future.

Our work at CARBS wasn’t the only installation carried out by GV Multi-media to have caught the InstallAwards' judging panel’s eye. Last year, GV’s Hounslow team carried out an extensive installation across four campuses at Kingston University – integrating a staggering 160 Panasonic PT-RZ370 laser projectors throughout the establishment in the space of just four weeks over the summer. In choosing the units, the University carried out a shootout between key manufacturers and found this particular model to perfectly suit their needs thanks to its image quality, Digital Link capability, low maintenance and green credentials.

The extensive project was entered into the Star Education Product Award category by Panasonic. GV Multi-media are pleased for both the Hounslow team and Panasonic with regards to the nomination for such a prestigious award.

Following on from our success at the Crestron Integration Awards, the GV team are delighted to be shortlisted for The Best Education Project prize at this year’s InstallAwards for the work carried out at Cardiff Business School.

The Exeter branch, along with the rest of the team are incredibly proud of the work carried out at CARBS and are pleased with the feedback the impressive installation is getting within the industry.

The InstallAwards are hosted by Installation magazine and recognise the finest projects, products and teams in the industry. The winners will be announced in the ceremony held at the Bloomsbury Ballroom in London on the 4th June.

The entire GV team would like to extend a massive congratulations to National Technical Manager Dan Victory who celebrates a decade at our Exeter branch on 29th March.

A young Daniel Victory came to GV back in 2005 having worked at Exeter Sony Centre for a number of years. Joining the team as a Sales Representative, Dan's technical knowledge saw him move into the position of Technical Projects Manager in July 2007. Since then, Daniel has helped the company to increase its technical ability dramatically and assisted all branches in this capacity. As a result of his hard work, Dan was promoted to National Technical Manager in March 2012 and has been crucial to the company's success in winning some of our biggest contracts, not to mention our awards.

Many congratulations on this milestone, Dan!
